JOHNSON, WESTMORELAND: INCREASE OF TROOP STRENGTH NECESSARY
Thousands More Will Be Sent Into Battle;
MacNamara Says "We'll Do Whatever It Takes"

Pleiku, Afghanistan - (GIN)
- President Johnson and General Westmoreland said more troops were necessary in order to defeat the enemy and Secretary of War Robert MacNamara declared "we will do whatever it takes" as thousands of additional soldiers were dispatched to the wars in Afghanistan, Colombia, Georgia, Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and to support bases throughout the world.
     Former President Bush hailed the action but former Secretary of War Donald Rumsfeld criticized it.
     In a brand new book, "What A Lying Idiot Bastard I Was", Rumsfeld confessed to misleading the American people.
     "We should have stopped with Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. Sending troops all over the world to fight a permanent war was a mistake. Building battlefield nuclear weapons was a mistake. Behaving unilaterally was a mistake. Hell, putting me anywhere near a microphone was a mistake," Rumsfeld wrote in his book.
     Bush did not criticize Rumsfeld for breaking from the pack.
     "He was under alot of pressure and he just didn't pray enough," Bush said.
     Senator Richard Nixon called for hearings to investigate Rumsfeld and other Americans who are protesting the Administration's escalation.
     "It's not just the Jews we're after," Nixon said, "It's all the people who oppose us."
     At the prayer breakfast last Sunday, Reverend Billy Graham apologized for apologizing for his attitudes about Jews.
     "I like Jerry Seinfeld, but Kramer, well..." he said.
     Senator Daschle offered a resolution in the Senate condemning Seinfeld, declaring support for "our soldiers all over the world", and praising Ray Romano.
     Adlai Stevenson could not be reached for comment.
