BUSH SENDS C.I.A. DIRECTOR TENET TO MIDEAST TO SEEK PEACE... REALLY
Langley, VA - (GNS)
- After a string of successful peace negotiations dating back to the 50s in Greece, Guatemala, and Iran, the C.I.A. has been dispatched by President Bush to broker peace in the Mideast.
"There's still trouble there and, hmh, I don't know why, but I'm pretty sure the C.I.A. does," Bush said.
Bush said C.I.A. Director George Tenet "is the kind of man who inspires confidence. One look at him and you know we're on the job," he said.
Tenet, unknown to most of the American public, is not known to the American public, but follows in the footsteps of historic peacemakers like the "Wild Bill" Donovan, Allen Dulles, John McCone, William Colby, Richard Helms, William Casey, and more.
Tenet, aware he will enter a field of fire thick with historical hatreds, dismissed the danger.
"The C.I.A.'s history of overthrowing popularly elected governments, collusion with underworld figures, drug smuggling, assassination, and deceit makes it the ideal arm of the American government to participate in these difficult negotiations."
"Hell, we can't make it any worse, can we?" Tenet said.
