MIDWEST LIBERATION ORGANIZATION (MLO) CLAIMS CREDIT FOR BOMBINGS Demands Iowa, Nebraska And Parts Of Illinois Become Separate Nation Chicago, IL - (GNS) - A group calling itself the Midwest Liberation Organization or MLO claimed credit yesterday for the recent spate of mailbox bombings in Iowa and throughout the midwest, the FBI announced. "We demand Iowa and Nebraska be freed from U.S. control," a note to the FBI read in part. "Like the peoples of Palestine, we will fight the U.S. Post Office," the note continued, in part. The MLO seeks to have Palatine, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, be declared as their capitol, the FBI said. Midwestern scholars at Northwestern University were at a loss to explain the groups goals or actions. "It makes no sense," Dr. Synonym Floogie, Professor Emeritus of Sensible Regional History Studies said. "Religion against religion, that makes sense," said Dr. Cable Prima, Professor Emeritus of Nail-On-The-Head Studies, "but this, I don't get it."
