MEXICO TO LEGALIZE 240 MILLION AMERICANS AS MEXICAN CITIZENS Mexico City, Mexico - (GIN) - Mexican President Vincente Fox announced today his intent to grant immediate Mexican citizenship to every American. "America is on Mexican soil, therefore most Americans who live in America live there as illegal aliens," Fox said. "This measure, which I am proposing, will eliminate the terrible condition of the Americans and they will be able to live as Mexicans, with their heads held moderately high," he said. Reaction to Fox's proposal was mixed. "Making them Mexicans, I don't know. They don't even speak the language," said Juan Jose, in a response that was typical of many ordinary citizens. "Now I suppose we'll have to have all the signs in Japanese as well as Spanish," said Jose Juan, a typical friend of Juan Jose's. Fox urged all of Mexico to embrace the idea. "When the Conquistadors first came to this promised land, they had a dream. This is a step to fulfilling that dream," he said. |
