MODESTO CALIFORNIA CHANGES NAME TO IMMODESTO
Immodesto, CA - (GPS) - The small, unobtrusive and heretofore virtually unknown village of Modesto, California will change it's name, according to Mayor Bluz Magoo.
     "We're doing this as a response to the national publicity, and to acknowledge our place in the history that is still being made," Magoo said.
     The City Council voted 6-1 to change the name to Immodesto.
     Councilman Stan Lee opposed the measure, preferring Modestor.
     "I wanted a name around which we could have an action figure. They decided otherwise," he said.
     The name change will go into effect on street signs and city stationary within two weeks, Magoo said.
     "This is a day that will live in famy," he declared, signing the ordinance.
