SADDAM TAPE DOUBLE SUSPECTED "Different Glasses, Different Sweater" Langley, VA - (GNS) - CIA analysts said the tape of Saddam Hussein defying the United States at the onset of the war was "probably a double". "He appears to look different, he's wearing different glasses and a different sweater, and he doesn't sound like Saddam," a CIA spokesman said. On the tape, Hussein says he did not go into exile because he would never want to live in a country that would have him as a citizen. "It's kind of like a chicken. We need the eggs," the alleged Saddam double said. On the tape, this Hussein reminds people that he used to be an ally of the United States. "I was very much fascinated by a young woman who was working for George Bush's election. I was trying to do to her what Bush wanted to do to the country," the alleged Saddam double said. Regarding the element of religion in this war, the alleged Saddam double said, "I can't prove God doesn't exist, you just have to have faith." CIA analysts said even though they suspect this is a double, it's probable that these statements are coded messages. "We have intelligence regarding the whereabouts of several doubles, and we will be launching airstrikes to take them out," a CIA spokesman said. |
