G8 COVERAGE REPLACES CHANDRA
EU Kyoto Coverage Replaces G8; Possible Missile Progress Replaces Kyoto
Hartford, CT - (GNS) - Chandra Levy disappeared from the headlines last weekend, replaced by coverage of the G8 conference, especially the violence there, according to CoverageWatch.
"It was startling. Suddenly the death of one Italian protester named Carlo became more important than a missing American intern," said CoverageWatch Director Lew Mastodon.
"Then Carlo was out, Kyoto was in, then Kyoto was out and Bush and Putin were in; probably tomorrow it's Bush and the Pope," Mastodon said.
He said the rapidly changing focus over such a wide variety of events would be difficult for anyone to comprehend.
"It makes people edgy, restless, it increases rage," he said.
"It wouldn't surprise me if tomorrow we were reading that Chandra is involved in stem cell research and Putin drives a Kyoto on his way to Kosovo," he said.
"I think we'll all be alot more comfortable when the coverage returns focus to Chandra, or goes back to Jon Benet," he said.
