U.S. CANCELS CHINA'S "SURVIVOR" PLANS, PROTECTS AMERICAN T.V.
Washington D.C. - (GIP) - Newly released documents indicate China was planning to use the Spy Plane crew detainees as the stars of their version of "Survivor", and the U.S. has nipped those plans in the bud. "We stopped 'em cold, we did," declared FBI Agent Barnard Fife, director of the FBI's U.S. Television Programming Protection Office. "It's as clear as a bell. They were looking for a cheap way to pull off some reality TV and they wanted to use our boys and girls. Well we weren't gonna let that happen, no sirree." Fife said his office got the tip from the CBS Network, conducted an investigation and discovered it to be accurate. "All that hoopla about sayin' we're sorry, that was just a cover. We work kind of in the background, quiet-like." Fife said what really steamed him was China's plans to change their version of the show by not allowing people to vote one another off the island. "That's just un-democratic. I mean, how else're you gonna get rid of someone you don't like? If you don't allow a vote, why, it's just anarchy." |
